Europa 2021
Endangered National Wildlife

The Europa postage stamp (also known as Europa - CEPT until 1992) is an annual joint issue of stamps with a common design or theme by postal administrations of member countries of the European Communities (1956–1959), the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) from 1960 to 1992, and the PostEurop Association since 1993. Europe is the central theme.

"Endangered National Wildlife" was the Europa theme for 2021. The Europa 2021 series illustrates two birds that populate the Vatican City Gardens, a small natural oasis consisting of —30 hectares (75 acres).

The stamps feature the common kestrel (falco tinnunculus) and the wren (troglodytes). The €1,10 value depicts the kestrel, among the smallest Italian birds of prey. The €1,15 depicts the wren, the smallest of the Troglodyte family that is not particularly intimidated by the presence of humans and can be found in gardens around houses and parks.
