Lenten Station Church
Closing Remarks

Marvin Lanahan and

Yesterday was the last day of the Lenten Calendar for the year. The calendar took us on a visit to 42 Lenten Station Churches in Rome for 54 days beginning on Ash Wednesday and ending on the Second Sunday of Easter. Seven of the churches were visited multiple times.

Marvin Lanahan envisioned the idea for the Lenten Project and presented it to Louis Giorgetti and Dennis Oniszczak. We agreed that the Lenten Calendar would be an excellent addition to the VPS website and would be enjoyed by the members.

The project development began in late October 2022. Our goal was to go back almost 2,000 years in time to research the history and the background of the Roman Station Churches, and the lives that were impacted. The research and development of this project was an educational and a rewarding experience. We hope that you enjoyed viewing our version of this historical event as we presented it to you.

We are interested in your feedback:
1. Did you find the Daily Lenten Calendar to be a pleasurable experience?
2. Do you have any suggestions for modifications to the Lenten Calendar for next year?
3. Do you have ideas for new projects that could be considered for possible development that would add to our knowledge of Vatican City, Vatican City Stamps, etc?
4. Email us any other comments or suggestions. Your input is appreciated.

Thank you for your feedback and continue to enjoy all the features the VPS website has to offer.
