Introducing Vatican Cover Questions

Marvin Lanahan

Today there is a new section that has been added to the daily emails: "Cover Questions". This is an on-line, text-based discussion application whereby VPS members can share their knowledge of Vatican postal covers with other VPS members and new things about Vatican stamps. Each week a new Vatican stamp cover will be inserted into the daily email along with a starting question to prompt discussion. Throughout the week VPS members can look at the cover, give it some thought, compare it with their collections, do a little research, and then submit a text response and impressions. In other words, have an on-line discussion of the cover and the question. At the end of the week, the VPS member who submitted the "Cover Question" will present us with their answer/opinion about the cover under discussion. This way we all learn a little more about Vatican stamps from each other.

The success of having an on-line cover/question discussion depends on VPS members responding. Greg Pirozzi, VPS President, has selected some interesting Vatican stamp covers to get us started. So, look at the "Cover Question" below, give it some thought, and click on the Send Your Answer Or Other Insights link below. If you have submitted one question response today and later think of something else tomorrow, or even an hour later, you can always key in another response. Your responses to the discussion questions are really, really important, and very much wanted!

If you have something interesting in your Vatican collection that would make a good cover discussion, other VPS members would like to hear about it. To create a "Cover Question" click on the Submit a cover question for discussion link shown in the daily emails and follow the prompts. If you need some help with submitting your "Cover Question" entry, the instructions are found on the screen. There is always something interesting to talk about when discussing Vatican stamp collecting and this application will help you do it!
