A Nice Christmas Cover

A Nice Christmas Cover

This registered cover was mailed from Vatican City to Biberach, Germany on December 12, 1960. From Wikipedia I learned that:
"Biberach an der Riss (German: Biberach an der Riß), often referred to as simply Biberach (German pronunciation: [ˈbiːbəʁax]), is a town in southern Germany. It is the capital of Biberach district, in the Upper Swabia region of the German state (Land) of Baden-Württemberg. It is called Biberach an der Riss after the small river Riss which flows through the city to distinguish it from the other towns of similar names."
The stamps are primarily from 1960, most being recently issued at the time that this cover was mailed. There are three pairs of the 1960 Christmas issue (Scott 292-294, issued 12/6/1960) and three singles from the St. Vincent de Paul/St. Louis de Marillac issue (Scott 295-297, issued 12/6/1960). The 60 lire Pope Urban VIII (Scott 166) is from the 1953 Pope and Basilica issue.

The postmark is a handstamp I-30 type documented in Vatican Notes (see link below). The outer circle measures 27mm in diameter. It has a Roman numeral "I" in the upper moon and Maltese crosses for separators in the outer circle.

Looking at the three pair of Christmas stamps, and noting the time of year of the postmark, makes this a nice Christmas time type of cover. Perhaps the sender had Christmas thoughts when sending it.
