VPS Member-To-Member Contact Functions

Marvin Lanahan

In the past, most stamp clubs, including the Vatican Philatelic Society, have published the addresses of new members so they could be welcomed by other members. With time and the increasing sensitivity toward internet privacy, this practice was put aside. Some time ago the VPS established a webpage so VPS members could participate in Member-To-Member (M-T-M) Contact activities without releasing any address, email, or phone number information.

Access to the VPS M-T-M webpage is available only to active VPS members and requires that you have your name listed as a participating VPS M-T-M Member. VPS M-T-M Members agree to have their name and collecting interests listed (and nothing else!). Other participating VPS M-T-M Members can contact you by email through the VPS email system but your email (and other) registration information will not be visible or released to anyone, for any reason. Messages are not saved or stored on the VPS website.

VPS members may de-list their M-T-M participation at any time by simply updating their registration address record, accessed through the VPS website menu bar. (See Membership tab, Update Address option).

Geographically our membership is widely spread out. We hope that VPS members will take advantage of this functionality and reach out to other VPS members. It is rather challenging to make an initial contact but the rewards can be tremendous. Give it a try. You might meet someone rather interesting!
