New Issues 2025

VPS Website Team

Last week, the Vatican State website announced the launch of its new philatelic services website, www.postevaticane.va. One tab on the website lists the anticipated new stamp issues for 2025. A list of new issues was released late in 2024, but the updated list below includes a few changes (including the inclusion of the Sede Vacante stamps released following the death of Pope Francis).

The stamps and additional products are not listed by release dates, but are categorized as follows:

Issues related to the theme of the year: Jubilee 2025

Other products

Postcards 2025: 550th Anniversary of the Birth of Michelangelo Buonarroti
Philatelic volume "Vatican 2025"

The last line of the page contains the caveat: "the program may be subject to change". One sure addition will be stamps to commemorate the election of Pope Leo XIV and the inauguration of his pontificate.

Vatican City collectors are surely anticipating more news regarding new issues, release dates and the availability to order these products from CFN in July.

To find the list on the website, click on "The Service". From the dropdowns, select "Philately", and then "Philatelic Program" to reach the announcement.
