Jubilee Year 2025 Begins

Opening of the Holy Door for Holy Year 2000 Souvenir Sheet, Scott 1136 (1999) Later this evening, Pope Francis will open the Holy Door at Saint Peter's Basilica to begin the Jubilee Year of 2025. The theme of the Holy Year is one of Hope. The ceremony marking the start of the Jubilee Year will be broadcast around the world across various media outlets, and streamed on numerous websites. It is an event of historical significance, and I am looking forward to seeing the pageantry of the ceremony.
