Every Daily Email now includes a link to a featured Album Page. Some pages come from the Cardinal Spellman collection, which was displayed at the Chrysler Automobile Salon in New York City from April 6–17, 1959. Many of Cardinal Spellman’s album pages are believed to be the work of Sister Mary Andrew, a renowned illuminator. Other pages come from VPS member Charlie Schaefer’s notebooks, while some are created using the Album Page Builder program available on the Member Page of the VPS website (http://vaticanstamps.org). Displaying a Daily Album Page serves multiple purposes. The pages offer engaging content for Vatican stamp collectors, providing inspiration and insight into how other collectors mount their stamps, covers and related materials. Studying these pages can be a valuable learning experience. All VPS members are encouraged to share pages from their collections! Simply scan or photograph a few album pages from your Vatican stamp collection and then use the Upload button found on the Member Page of the VPS website to send them to the VPS website team. It’s also a good idea to send us an email via the VPS Member contact page to confirm your submission. We’ll take care of the rest! We know you probably have some unique Vatican stamp material hiding in your stamp notebooks. You may also have an interesting approach to how you mount your collection. We’d love to feature it in the Daily VPS Emails. The website team looks forward to receiving something from you soon! |
