Pontificate of Pope Leo XIV (2026)

CFN: BETTER LATE...THAN NEVER

Last week, we let our members know that the VPS Website Team has received word from CFN that the first quarter stamps for 2026 would be available for sale on the CFN website E-shop on Monday. That turned out to be false hope. But the good news is the stamps finally did appear in the E-shop on Thursday (March 12). In addition to the six sets released by Vatican City on February 26, CFN is also making available the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology stamp issued by Luxembourg in late 2025 (a joint release with Vatican City). We are still waiting for the release of the 2025 Annual Volume (listed on the CFN website as “Coming Soon”).

POPE LEO’S TRIP TO MONACO

Last week, the Vatican Press Office released the itinerary for Pope Leo’s apostolic journey to Monaco on Saturday, March 28. He will leave from the Vatican City Heliport at 7 am and arrive in Monaco around 9 am. He will then proceed to the Prince’s Palace to meet with the Prince of Monaco, Albert II. Two meetings with the Catholic community (in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception) and with young people (in front of the Church of Sainte-Dévote) will precede a Mass to take place at Louis II Stadium. Following the Mass, the pope will depart from Monaco around 5:45 pm and return to the Vatican, wrapping up a quick 12-hour trip to the second-smallest country in the world (after Vatican City).

Here is a link to the announcement found on the Holy See website for the pope’s trip to Monaco (which includes a look at the logo for the trip):
