Our little Robot needs to set up a meeting with Pres.Trump and Pope Leo immediately to resolve the tariff issue and Vatican Post Office problems.

So far, I have not received a response to my letter to the Vatican.

I just read thru the new US tariff regulations. After skimming about 100 pages, it seems like any shipment of postage stamps does not apply, no tariffs. Therefor, why are we stuck?

I need to talk to Leo and Donald to straighten this out. Maybe our little Robot can come along.

In response to several inquiries to the Vatican CFN it has been learned that all philatelic shipments to the US and Canada are currently being blocked. This includes CFN orders that the Vatican CFN has accepted payment for. We can only hope that this situation will be resolved soon! Then we can get back to the argument over not being able to order special postmarked covers and stamp folders from the Vatican. How do you promote Vatican stamp collecting in this kind of environment?    (11/08/2025 - MJL)

I had similar problems. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered some religious stamps from Kiev, Ukraine. They came thru, no problems. Why of all countries, being constantly bombed, I received my stamps! We need to fix this tariff problem quickly.

It will be interesting to see if my letter to the Vatican, concerning special post marks, is answered. If so, I’ll let everybody know.

Last month, I ordered 3 covers, all ordered separately, from an Italian dealer who shipped post. Two of them were returned to sender, they're working now on shipping them with a courier like FedEx. The other though managed to clear customs and is now in NY on its way to CA. Seems at the moment like there isn't a rhyme or a reason for why some things clear customs and others don't.

This morning, I mailed my letter to the Vatican requesting that the Vatican Post Office continue providing special cancellations for First Day Covers.

We should all express In writing our concern with the Vatican Post Office eliminating this service.

With the US tariff situation, I was unable to get stamps I ordered from an Italian dealer. Twice the dealer attempted to send the stamps to me and they were returned to the dealer. The dealer mentioned that the tariffs imposed were more costly than the stamps ordered.

So, I guess even if we could get FDCs from the Vatican Post Office, the tariff cost to the United States would be tremendous. TERRIBLE !!!!!!!!!

Issue Charlie reported with faint font on VPS robot page has been fixed.

As overseas Vatican stamp collectors we need the ability to purchase special postmarked (first-day) stamped cover and stamp folders as issued by the Vatican Post Office! I strongly encourage fellow Vatican Philatelic Society members to amplify my written request by sending their own letters. These commemorative items carry deep historical and spiritual significance, and I believe they should be accessible to Vatican stamp collectors around the world.

Collective action could help ensure that Vatican philately becomes more globally inclusive and accessible. The addresses to write are:
