The Eucharistic Congress is a mass meeting of Catholics organized on an international basis and aimed at celebrating the mystery of the Eucharist through lectures, seminars, discussions, and the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The first International Eucharistic Congress owed its inspiration to Bishop Gaston de Ségur, and was held at Lille, France, on June 21, 1881. Today, the congress is typically held every four years. 			 			 			 			 			 			 			 			 
 The 52nd International Eucharistic Congress was hosted by Budapest, Hungry from 7-12 September 2021. Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco invited the whole Church to reflect on the theme of the International Eucharistic Congress: “All my springs are in You” during the homily at the opening Mass for the occasion. He notes that the Eucharist “goes beyond all loneliness, all distance and all indifference.” Pope Francis celebrated the closing Mass of the Congress. 
The logo created for the Congress is featured on the €1,10 stamp in with the profile of the Hungarian Parliament building. The logo and a map of Hungary appears on the €1,15 stamp.
