The topic for today's Daily Email is Saint Stephen of Hungary.
 
At the end of the VPS article, a paragraph describes the Esztergom Hungary Basilica, the burial spot of Cardinal Josef Cardinal Mindszenty.

"Esztergom is also the location of the tomb of Josef Cardinal Mindszenty (1892-1975), Prince-Primate of Hungary, who led the Church during World War II against the Nazis, and then during the communist era. After arrest, beatings, and imprisonment, Mindszenty was convicted in a 1949 show trial, released briefly during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, after which he sought asylum at the United States embassy in Budapest for 15 years. As a result of Holy See-Hungarian negotiations during the era of Ostpolitik, Mindszenty was released in 1971, went to Rome, then to Vienna, where he died in 1975. His remains were returned to Hungary and to Esztergom after 1989 at the end of Soviet occupation."</blockquote>

As things happen, one of the ladies I work with during local elections was raised in Hungary. Last year, I sent her the link to the daily VPS email. She sent me back an email telling me that she has visited all the places in Hungary mentioned in the article.
