How is the housing market in Vatican City?

   Ongoing Active Market
All Homes are a Quick Sale
   No Housing Market
   Very Few Homes Become Available

Your answer was: No Housing Market.
You are correct!!

Answer: The housing market is non-existent because there are no “houses” in Vatican City. Unfortunately, there are also no flats for rent or purchase to the general public available in Vatican City. All of the property of Vatican City is the possession of the Holy See. Those who live there do so as part of their jobs and are provided with housing, whether it’s the Commandant of the Swiss Guard or those who work in the various curia. Most of those who work in Vatican City, in fact, live in Rome or its suburbs.

There is a residence building that serves as a hotel and long-term housing for visitors or workers, where Pope Francis also lives, called the Domus Sancta Martha (St. Martha’s House).

Vatican City is not a typical city, but a self-contained nation that acts primarily as the headquarters of the worldwide Catholic Church.
