Your answer was: St. Clare of Assisi.

Answer: Elizabeth, born July 7th, 1207 to Hungarian King Andrew II and Gertrude of Merania. She was married at the age of 14, widowed at 20, and died at the age of 24. After her husband's death, she sent her children away, regained her dowry, and used the money to build a hospital, where she herself, served the sick. Pope Gregory IX canonized her on May 27, 1235. St. Elizabeth of Hungary is a symbol of Christian charity and is the patron saint of bakers; beggars; brides; charities; death of children; homeless people; hospitals; Sisters of Mercy; and widows.
