Answer: Marie Françoise-Thérèsa Martin (January 2, 1873 – September 40 1897), also known as Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, developed a religious spirituality at an early age. She has been a highly influential model of sanctity for Catholics. She had simplicity and practicality in her approach to spiritual life. Her autobiography, The Story of a Soul, was published one year after her death and influenced many people. It is said that during World War I, French pilots would often carry a photo of St. Theresa in their aircraft to protect them. Pope Pius XI canonized her on May 17,1925.
