Answer: The Horses of Saint Mark, is a set of Byzantine bronze statues of four horses that are over the entrance of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice. They were taken by the Venetians during the sack of Constantinople in 1204 and brought to Venice. Napoleon looted them in 1797 but they were returned in 1815. In 1980 the original statues were replaced by replicas and the originals were placed in a museum.

In 1994 the Vatican Post Office issued a series of postcards to commentate the X Centenary Of The Dedication Of St. Mark's Basilica. A picture of the four horses is on the back cover of the postcard folder.
