Answer: Pope John Paul II opened the first Philatelic and Numismatic Museum in September of 1987. It was located in four rooms of the Borgia Tower. Five years later it moved to the railway station. On September 25, 2007, the Philatelic and Numismatic Museum became part of the Vatican Museums.
