Answer: From October 1996 thru April 1997 the Vatican Museums hosted an exhibition "Looking At The Classics" during which illustrations of ancient text from the RomanAge to the late Middle Ages were on display. This effort contributed to the Church's efforts to save, protect, conserve, and preserve ancient classical texts. In 1997 the Vatican Post Office supported this effort by issuing a four-stamp series depicting Latin and Greek text that are preserved by the Vatican Apostolic Library.
