Answer: According to William Wonneberger Jr's (Founder of the Vatican Philatelic Society) 1956 article, the Archangel Gabriel appears in the bible four times. Twice the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the prophet Daniel, once to Zachary, and most importantly to announce the coming of Christ to the Virgin Mary. The Archangel Gabriel is the designated patron saint for postal and telecommunication workers.
