Michelangelo
Isiah Delphic Sybil Jeremiah Joel
4th Centenary Of The Death Of Michelangelo Buonarroti
Scott 388-391 (1964)

   peace and justice
   war and destruction
   prediction and foreshadowing
   sin and repentance

Your answer was: peace and justice.

Answer: The depicted images of Isiah, Delphic Sybil, Jeremiah, and Joel paintings on these stamps are based upon paintings done by Michelangelo on the Sistine Chapel ceiling, Each person depicted has a message of prediction and foreshadowing they were trying to communicate to the people of their time, especially related to the coming of Christ. Researching this, I found that the Vatican Notes description on these stamps also used predictive and foreshadowing in describing all of the subjects of these stamps.

See the Vatican Notes article The Fourth Anniversary of the Death of Michelangelo from Volume XIII Number 2 September - October 1964 Page 3.
