Pope Pius V
Pope Julius II
Pope Benedict VIII
Pope Innocent IV
Your answer was: Pope Pius V. |
Answer: Pope Pius V standardized the Roman Missal, after the Council Of Trent, thus establishing the wording of the Holy Mass which would basically remain unchanged for 400 years, until Vatican II. The only Vatican stamp we have for Pope Pius V is from an image from the altarpiece of the Chapel of the Rossary in Santa Croce di Bosco Manengo painted around 1597. This painting commenrates victory in the Battle of Lepanto.
