What year did Vatican City and the Sovereign Order of Malta sign a Postal Treaty and jointly issue stamps? By signing this treaty Vatican City State agreed to recognize the full validity of stamps issued by the Order of Malta. (Not to be confused with the postage stamps of the Malta government.)

Answer: On June 24th, 2008 Vatican City and the Sovereign Order of Malta signed a postal services convention agreement. This agreement extends the centuries-old relationship between the Order of Malta, not to be confused with the government of Malta) and the Vatican to postal services..As of July 1, 2008 stamps issued by Vatican City or the Sovereign Order of Malta are mutually recognized and have full validity. On November 13th, 2008 Vatican City and the Sovereign Order of Malta jointly issued stamps commemorating this agreement.
