The Daily Question

In 2013 the theme for the Europa stamp was the postal service. What symbol did the Vatican Post Office pick to represent the postal service?

   a letter
   a postal clerk
   a mail truck
   a cancellation mark

Your answer was: a mail truck.
You are correct!!

Answer: The Vatican Post Office chose "The Postman Van", a mail truck to represent the postal service. The UFN bulletin stated that the Vatican Post Office "...has a number of small vehicles which guarantee every day an effective means to collect and deliver mail ...". Next time I am in the Vatican I am going to look for one of these trucks because I really never recall seeing one scutter around St. Peter's square!
