Answer: Order Of Minims is founded on the principle of penitential spirituality. St. Frances of Paola (1416-1507), the founder of the order, was a hermit who believed in the abandonment of all that is unnecessary. Unlike a lot of founders of men's religious orders, St. Frances of Paola was never an ordained priest but was known to have a gift for prophecy and has several interesting legends attributed to him.
