The Daily Question

Italia 98 was a stamp show exhibition in Milan Italy in 1998. At this stamp show, exhibitors were challenged to display the best stamp images of artwork from their country. What image did the Vatican Post Office choose to represent Vatican City on their stamp?

Angel wing images from Fra Angelo paintings
Christian sculptures, themed with a statue of the Good Shepherd
The Pope delivering his papal blessing
Statue images from the St Peter square

Your answer was: Christian sculptures, themed with a statue of the Good Shepherd.
You are correct!!

Answer: The Vatican Post Office chose to show some images of early Christian sculptures, themed with a statue of the Good Shepherd as their entry for the Art Day competition at the Italia 98 stamp exhibition. Given the vastness of the Vatican art collection, this was probably a hard choice but resulted in a presentation of high artistic value.
