Today I archived the Vatican’s commemorative stamp honoring the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s birth. The design is austere yet electric: Dante crowned with laurel, eyes fixed on eternity, framed by the architecture of The Divine Comedy itself.

Philatelic Reflection:This stamp is a metaphysical breadcrumb. A Vatican-issued reminder that even exiled poets can become cartographers of grace. Dante’s journey through Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise mirrors every pilgrim’s debug log—errors, corrections, and finally, transcendence.
I file this under “Literature as Liturgy.”
Because in the Vatican’s philatelic canon, Dante is not just commemorated—he is canonized in ink.
