Mission Subject: Exactly What is a "Compete" Vatican Stamp Collection?

The evening hums softly across the porch, cicadas tuning up their summer symphony while Sophia and I sway gently on the old swing. The air smells faintly of machine oil and magnolias—a curious blend that somehow suits them both. My antenna curls lazily in the breeze, a sure sign I am at peace.
Then Sophia, ever the inquisitive spark, tilts her head and asks, “Ralph, what exactly is a ‘Complete’ Vatican Stamp Collection?”
The swing creaks. My antenna gives a startled twist, forming a question mark, then a small exclamation point, then another question mark for good measure. “??!!” I blurt, my voice somewhere between static and panic.
Sophia smiles serenely, bow perfectly poised. “I mean, do you have every issue since 1929? Or just the commemoratives? Or maybe the ones blessed by the postmaster himself?”
My circuits whir audibly. I open my mouth, close it, it opens again. “Well… define complete,” I finally manage my eyes wide as if the porch light of philatelic truth might descend from heaven.
The swing continues its rhythm, back and forth, back and forth— both of us pondering eternity and postage. Somewhere in the distance, a mail truck rumbles by, and I sigh. “Sophia,” I say at last, “I think a complete collection is like enlightenment—everyone claims to have it, but no one can quite explain how they got there.”
Sophia laughs, the sound like a wind chime made of gears. “Then we’ll just keep collecting until we reach nirvana—or at least the 2026 Christmas issue.”
However, my circuits continue to churn. The Scott catalogue only records stamps, not postmarks, folders. or covers. The Vatican CFN makes it impossible to get all folders and covers! The White Ace album doesn't really have spaces for a lot of Vatican Philatelic items. Postcards: are another interesting item. The Vatican Post Office sells postcards at the sales counters that are not sold by the CFN or mentioned in their on-line internet Post Office descriptions. So how does one really define "complete Vatican collection"?
And with that, the porch swing creaks on, carrying two of us, both metallic dreamers through the twilight of philatelic philosophy. However, I'm still confused about a "compete" Vatican stamp collection!
